Hi, I am Laura K., an aspiring writer and artist, nomading around and reconnecting with what I love to do.

As a person who loves to write I think in words. Some people think in colors or shapes or in numbers. In my head thoughts are written like little posts or ads on a board. Words are important. They are tools of expressing what we want, think, feel and experience. So I choose them with care and I want them to embody exactely what I want to say. Hopefully one day my thoughts will be as clear and well chosen as what i write down…

A well written piece shows its quality in a flow during the process of writing and – later – reading. Nothing has to be boring and dry, not even academic papers. One of my favourite writers ever, who managed the flowing really well, is Terry Pratchett. He has a unique way of first connecting science with story writing and second to describe and tell the story lines of his books, spicing them up with a dry and dark humour. “Some humans would do anything to see if it was possible to do it. If you put a switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying ‘End-of-the-World-Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH’, the paint wouldn’t even have time to dry.” (Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time). His stories flow which means that you don’t even realize reading them. They just get incorporated through the eyes, directly stored in that pleasant little reader corner in your brain.

I would like to be as full of phantastic stories as Terry Pratchett. I mean, imagining a world shaped like a disc, carried by four elephants which themselves are standing on a huge turtle, “swimming” through the universe. It is highly probable that I am. But it is still hard to not let my head take over and to not stop creative thoughts, as crazy and nonsense they might be. There is an infinite number of stories out there which want to be told and I can tell at least some.
